Even if it has been 70 years since Napoleon Hill penned the self-help book, “Think and Grow Rich”, I believe it is still highly respected and read. Proof of this are the millions of copies it has sold over the years. It is highly inspirational and many believe it is the creation that spawned the industry of motivational material. I believe then that it is only fitting to write a thank you letter to its author, Napoleon Hill.
“Think and Grow Rich” is said by critics to be the grandfather to all other books on success. I can’t help but agree with this notion. Many of what you wrote in your book inspired the ideas and were the forces that set into motion other self-help books that tackle the steps to attaining financial prominence. Your concept that “Everything that your mind can conceive, you can achieve”, which I believe encompasses the essence of your book, has become something akin to a mantra or maxim that other inspirational authors have banked on. I guess this shows just how much of an influence your ideas have had on other people.
I am more than proud to say that I am one of the millions of individuals who have been motivated by the ideas you presented in “Think and Grow Rich”. I don’t think I can stress enough in this thank you letter how powerful it is and how big of a role it has had in molding the ideas I follow regarding success. I will go even further to say that I think it should be required reading for anyone who aspires to any amount of success. I have shared this book to others too--my friends and the members of my family--with the hope that they learn as much from it as I have.
One thing that jumped out at me while I was reading the book was how evident your passion and enthusiasm was for the ideas that you were writing about. In a way, I felt like that enthusiasm was contagious as before I even recognized it, I was getting more and more eager to follow your recommendations.
Of your thirteen principles, the concept that I was most impressed with and made the biggest difference in my life was that of the Mastermind. I was deeply inspired by your idea that power, which is essential for success in the accumulation of wealth, can only be recognized when we join forces with others who share a common goal. It influenced my approach to a business venture I went into and to say the least, I was happy with the outcome.
So I’d like to write this thank you letter as a sign of my appreciation for creating such life-changing principles that have been such significant parts of my life.
